Woodcraft Design is a second generation family business marking its 40th anniversary this year. It was started in 1970 by Reinhold Brandt and his wife Renate with the vision of creating well designed handcrafted furniture at a reasonable price. Trained in Germany, and a master furniture maker, Reinhold has a true love of the craft. The company is now operated by their son Chris, who inherited that love and with whom that vision still stands. Together with a staff of talented craftsmen, the tradition of building high quality custom furniture and cabinetry continues.

Woodcraft Design believes in furthering the cabinetmaking trade by supporting and educating future craftsmen. We work with NAIT and the apprenticeship programs to train apprentices to become journeyman and professionals in their trade as cabinetmakers.
We believe in hiring employees who have a passion for the natural beauty of wood, furniture building and design. Woodcraft Design provides an excellent learning environment for apprentices in the cabinetmaking trade. We pride ourselves on teaching hand building practices as none of our furniture is mass produced.
